password?

address and we will send you a new password. You can then

How does the
referral scheme work?
Simply put, if you refer a friend to Join CashbackChief and
they become an active user then you will earn £1.50 once
your friend reaches just £15.00 in confirmed cashback
earnings. You can keep a track of your referrals by visiting
the my friends section and when your referral reaches £15.00
you can claim your £1.50. Your friend must sign up using a
unique referral link, available in the refer a friend
section, including invite emails, and more advanced options
for website owners such as banners and referral links to cut
and paste.
We will also be adding a points system very soon so that you
will be able to continue earning after your referral reaches
£15.00.

Can my
friends and family sign up too?
Yes they can – But remember, you are only allowed one
account each.
Why not ask them to mention your username as the referrer
when they register? You will earn money for this which can
later be claimed when they reach £15 confirmed! You can find
your referral address on the homepage or by visiting the
Refer a Friend page.

Why
do I need to log in?
We need to identify your purchases for you. If you didn’t
log in we wouldn’t be able to track individual purchases
against each member and the cashback would be anonymous.

When can I
check my cashback balance?
Simply go to 'My Account', and you will see a link to my
transactions. All the purchases are detailed on there.

I made a purchase - why is it not shown in the details of my
account?
All transactions are recorded electronically by the website
you buy from, who in turn pass on reports to us showing all
commissions due to you. Whilst many will report your
transactions the following day, some do take a while longer
so you should wait a couple of weeks before submitting a
support email.
Alternatively you may not have been correctly logged into
CashbackChief before making the purchase. Or it may even be
the case that the retailer's system had problems notifying
us of your cashback. In these rare cases we must put the
error down to connection problems on the internet, or
temporary computer faults with the online store in question.
If you have not seen a cashback entry after 2 weeks of your
purchase then please contact us shortly afterwards. We will
then contact the website on your behalf and make every
effort to claim your cash from them by quoting your order
number etc. Please don't leave missing enquiries too long as
we cannot chase them up if they are too old.

How can I get hold
of my money?
First, you must have updated your details in the "My
Account" section of the website simply so that we know where
to send the money to.
Payments are issued as a cheque, Paypal or via electronic
Bank transfer (BACS), A minimum amount of £15.00 is
applicable for cheque payments, Paypal and Bank transfer.
Please be careful to keep your details up to date to avoid
delays in receiving your payment.
You can update your account details any time by logging in
and selecting "My Payment Details".

Will
my data be secure?
Yes. We will ensure that your data is secured in line with
our privacy policy. All payment details are stored on a
separate secure database.

How do I
earn cashback from the Retailers?
You cannot earn cashback until you have registered as a
CashbackChief member. This is simple – just supply a
username, email address and password. Once you have verified
your email address you will be able to start earning money
Once registered make sure you return to the CashbackChief
site and update your payment details before you claim your
first cashback payment so we can send your money.
You can compare prices on products at any time - in fact you
don't have to register for cashback - we can still send you
to the retailer in question if you are not logged in - you
just won't earn any cashback if you buy.
Back to the Question
Index
When will I receive
my payment?
We issue cashback payment when you have earned enough in
confirmed transactions - i.e. we have received payment from
the retailer. Once this has happened you must request
payment from the Payments section of your account. Payment
thresholds are in place and you will be able to claim when
you have reached them
Back to the Question

Why has a cashback been removed from my account balance?
If a purchased item is returned or a transaction is faulty
or invalided then the website concerned can remove a
cashback payment by creating a negative transaction. If you
see your account has a negative or corrected record in it
this is because the website has revoked one of your cashback
purchases. This is a fairly routine procedure and is very
rarely done in error.

What is the difference between a Confirmed, Unconfirmed and
Payable Transaction?
Unconfirmed means that the website in question has recorded
a sale but the payment is not 100% validated - i.e. the
product could still be refundable, the credit card might not
yet be processed, etc. Once the transaction gets confirmed
then the website has accepted the sale and the commission
can be considered yours. Confirmed purchases are rarely
revoked, except in rare circumstances such as fraud. If such
a thing were to occur, we would be willing to investigate on
your behalf with the retailer to see if we could find out
why. Once a transaction has become confirmed, it will then
become Payable, at this point you can request payment.

Do I have to pay higher prices by shopping through
CashbackChief?
No, absolutely not.
CashbackChief is a very cost effective channel for large
retailers who spend millions on advertising each year. The
opposite is in fact true! We work continually to negotiate
discounts and vouchers for our members.

Do
you sometimes increase the cashback amounts?
Yes. In some cases, a retailer will pay us more once we
reach a certain threshold. Therefore, we will increase the
cashback amount for all members who have purchased with that
retailer.

My
favourite shop isn't there? Could you add it?
If your favourite store isn't listed in the directory then
we cannot provide cashback, however please contact us and we
will try get your favourite shop for you. If you think of
any features that you would like on the site let us know and
we will try and develop them for you
